Hi, I'm Miguel — nice to meet you.

I'm a Belgian Product & Graphic Designer who likes to move between the two: one day refining an app flow in Figma, the next building a brand mark in Illustrator.

Practicing design since 2024, focused on designing and building digital products, brands and experiences .

How I work

A few things I try to hold onto in every project

Detail-first

The difference between good and great usually lives in the small stuff — spacing, timing, the exact shade of a colour.

Collaborative by default

The best design work I've done has come out of working closely with developers, teammates and clients, not in isolation.

Always iterating

I'd rather ship a rough version and improve it than wait for something perfect that never ships.

My journey

From graduate studies to a drone licence

  1. Graduaat Digitale Vormgeving

    PXL Digital, Hasselt

Where it all started — the fundamentals of digital design, from layout and typography to a first introduction to HTML, CSS, Vue and JavaScript.

  2. Bachelor Digital Experience Design

    PXL Digital, Hasselt

Deepened into product thinking, prototyping and cross-functional teamwork — including the Crooze project in WPL2 — while building further on HTML, CSS, Vue, JavaScript, PHP and React Native.

  3. Google UX Design Professional Certificate

    Google, via Coursera

A structured deep-dive into the end-to-end UX process: research, wireframes, prototyping and usability testing.

  4. Enterprise Design Thinking Practitioner

    IBM

Focused on applying design thinking at scale — framing problems, aligning stakeholders and running structured workshops.

  5. Dronebrevet A1/A3 & A2

    Belgian Civil Aviation Authority

Two European drone pilot licences — the A2 certificate now lets me fly as close as 30m to people (5m in low-speed mode), EU-wide across all EASA states. A personal interest that occasionally sneaks into aerial shots for project work.

  6. Algemeen Stuurbrevet

    FOD Mobiliteit, in progress

Currently working towards my general boating licence — another skill outside the studio, still in the works.

Curious what this looks like in practice?
